Spring is in the Air...
Sort of! It shouldn't be really as I know we're still just past mid-winter, but somehow it feels like the worst is over - Worst! It's hardly been a bad winter at all.
this is a real spring sign to me ~ the first of the 'proper' daffodils to open. It's a little bedraggled looking, but beautiful all the same.
The cherry blossom opening as well. Ok this is actually a very early cherry and the pale weeping cherries are a wee while away, yet.
We got three new varieties of camillias for the garden. We've had a lot of clearing of old beds done and we always wanted camillias round the other side of the house to match the front, but we went for a different colour to mix things up a bit.
This is what's making me happy today.
Your flowers are lovely.
ReplyDeleteMy first daffodil is at the exact same stage as yours Laura! and I agreed though its just past mid winter it hasn't really been terrible.
ReplyDeleteI love watching all of the flowers open up for spring. It's almost if they are stretching in the warmth.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteMid winter and you have daffodils? We don't get our daffodils until the end of winter, which is first of March for us here in the US, Oklahoma to be precise. Beautiful flowers!!
