Beans - let's get to the bottom of this!

These are dried barlotti beans, they've just been drying since I picked them in Feb/March
Do any of you think they could be the same as these -  which have been drying for a few years? If not, what could they be,  Bridget would like to know! ( and so would I now!)

this is what they looked like when just picked.

  1. Hi
They do look very similar don't they. Quite different from the freshly harvested.
I will see if I can get down to Koanga next week and confirm if possible. Otherwise it will be 'wait and see' come spring!

My dried borlotti beans look exactly the same guys. A few of my borlotti ended up black because they were cross fertilised by the bees with broad beans. Good news is that black ones taste really good too. Some my call is they are indeed dried borlotti beans however I am no expert. k

  3. So pretty, whatever they are.

  4. they look so pretty, lovely colours

I love it when you leave me comments, it lets me know there are folk out there reading my ramblings! Thank you, I appreciate them loads and loads
