When bad things happen to good...house name plates!
I ordered a lovely house name plate from a company down south that makes them. They are pretty busy so I've had to wait a fairly long time. It arrived today and as I opened it I could feel there was something wrong. I got all the paper off and this is what I found.

It was such a shame.
I called the man an he was great, he said not to worry, he still had the wooden mould that he'd made for it so he'll recast another one. Very kind of him as it wasn't his fault. It'll be a few more weeks though.
The parcel must have been treated very badly somewhere along the line, as it was wrapped really well.

This is what it should look like!

  2. OH...No! I felt so disappointed for you.
Hopefully the next one will arrive safely and all in one piece. It's lovely by the way.

I know just how you feel...
I got an Ebay item this week that was a collectable Bambi, with its leg snapped off....I had the same feeling...tinkling of the package as I opened it...and sure enough. But like you, the sender was thoughtful and sent me a little extra figurine that I got in the mail today, to try and make up for the broken one....I hope you get your replacement soon to hang, it will look lovely.........x
