Lloyd found this wee guy...
in our wood pile. Well he actually brought her (?) in with the wood for the fire. I'm thinking she really shouldn't be around at this time of year and probably only is because it's been so mild. I really don't know what to do with her. If I keep her inside in the warmth there are no bugs for her to eat and if I put her outside she will surely die when it gets cold.
Lloyd has suggested the wool shed as it's warmer and there are lots of bugs.
Suggestions on a postcard, please.

I'm disappointed these aren't sharper - I really should learn what the buttons on the camera mean!

  3. Hi Laura, M bought one home from Nonnos the other day, it was a beautiful stick insect.....I thought she should have left it where she found it, as they eat the things from where it was found. I would put it back in the wood.....

  4. That is so awesome!
Find the button that makes a flower pop up, that is your super micro mode and it will make things much sharper!!!

  5. We put it back with the wood into the wood shed - it's quite cold in there so I have little hope it'll survive - it's just a baby one. :(
Organicmommy, I have a DSLR with a macro lens on it and usually things are much sharper - it just wasn't happening today! I do see a flower on the dial thingy so I'll try that !

  6. Oh, she is so lovely, I do love the other praying mantis shot you took before - I just love them so much. Why can't we have them here in Scotland!

Yikes!!!! He/she looks huge! I'm afraid I'd let it take its chances in the woolshed, but then I do not care for bugs of any sort--where Lloyd aquired his love of "friends" from I've no idea!!

Good luck with the beans, when eaten put pegs on noses!

Much love from ALL of us.
