Jings ( a la Pa Broon ) It's freezing!
This morning when we were driving up to work there was frost everywhere. The car temperature guage said "0" In the 5 years we've been here we have never seen it go below 4. IT. IS. COLD.
I've got the fire lit at work but I'm still sitting at my desk with 3 layers and gloves on! My nose feels like it is constantly dripping! Mind you, it's probably my own fault for taking photos of my bare feet out in the frost this morning at 6.30am!
Brrrrrrrrr
The garden looked like it had snow on it! I've become so soft!
I would have given you about 20 degrees today. It was 95 with a heat index of 116 today. So terribly HOT. Send you about 20 degrees and it would be perfect here and better for you!!!
ReplyDeleteBrrr!!!

ReplyDeleteorganicmommy - you are on!!
ReplyDeleteAhh, but it did turn out beautifully sunny. Kids were nekkid at the beach at lunchtime!
ReplyDeleteBlast from the past with your "Jings" made me say "Help ma boab" out loud....just for old times sake. I've gotten quite soft too, hate the cold and can remember many an Ayrshire Winter playing outside and having to come inside to "thaw" my fingers. I remember the burn like it was yesterday. Where were the gloves?? Hmm! Stay warm :)
ReplyDeleteI say you've got to have a winter to fully appreciate the summer. I love the contrast of winter - love our fireplace, dressing in boots and coats and scarfs and eating casseroles and soups.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't do the continuous summer thing like my transplanted cousin in Queensland!
Now you need egg cosies for your toes Laura!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful---but definitely sounds freezing! Hope you warmed up!!
ReplyDeleteit is so hot and humid where i am. i hope it gets a little warmer for you. your foot looked mighty cold in that frost.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr? Not in Oklahoma! LOL...we hit 95*F with a heat index of 111 yesterday. Your frost looks quite refreshing to me!
ReplyDeleteLiz

ReplyDeleteOh it still looks tropical to me! Pop over there is a wee something I think you will like over at http://rmontalban.blogspot.com/2010/07/cherry-on-top.html
ReplyDeleteYum Yum!!!
We've been having -6 overnight and -4 when we wake up. Yesterday I relised I had aclimatised when I left home with only a thermal and a t-shirt and jeans on. Got into the car and it said 1 degree. I then got cold. In Methven we had a high of .5 all day. Mind you it is at the base of the Alps and a ski field.
