Hope you are having or will have a lovely day.
We are!
Got up bright and early, put on our christmas antlers ( Lloyd and Brodie not particularly impressed with this idea of mine!)
Fed dogs and ducks and chickens. Had opening of presents. The animals had somehow got themselves into town and bought me some lovely gifts, sweet wee guys!!
That gorgeous husband of mine got me this
only the best camera bag in the world, it's all hand made from leather and wax fabric. I love it! I can get the camera and three lenses in it!!
I got Lloyd a pin oak tree, he's been pointing them out a lot recently! And his very own wooden garden trug and a lovely Rodd and Gunn shirt.
I managed to rescue some roses from the rain and had roses on the table for Christmas day ~ all the planning way back in June or whenever was worth it! Yeah.
Christmas brekkie - eggs( from the chooks) benedict with bacon ( from freedom farms)
The rest of the day will be spent digging up potatoes and making blinis for this evening - we're heading over to NandS's for dinner where were having an extravaganza of a feast. Sara has made stuffed turkey breast and Lloyd has made confit of duck.
Watching harry Potter and the half blood prince, because when we saw the last one we realised it didn't make much sense because we hadn't seen or read this one - doh! oh and having a spa.
What are you doing?
Hope it's lovely whatever it is.xx
If your bacon was a little curvier you'd have a smilie breakfast face instead on an unsure one ; ) Your camera bag is awesome and your day sounds just lovely and delicious like ours!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!!

ReplyDeleteLovely balmy day here, some rain, bit muggy - lots of food & rellies. You certainly did well with your camera bag - its delish.
I nearly spit my coffee over the computer when I saw that first picture! LOL! To cute!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that you have roses now! We have 2 feet of snow.

Love the purse!
Lovely looking breakfast too! Merry Christmas to all!
I have eaten so much over the past two days, but that bacon and eggs look so good, I could really manage to fit them in.

What a wonderful Christmas morning. Love your breakfast plate--so happy :) Can’t imagine roses for Christmas--that is just wonderful. I love pin oaks myself. Happy 2011
ReplyDeleteHi there Laura,
ReplyDeleteI was having a coffee in Wharepuke in Kerikeri today and came across your beautiful little paradise in one of the NZ life and leisure magazines on the table. Having realised you were practically my neighbours I came onto your website and could not stop reading about your incredible venture. It is my dream to do as you both have, living very self sufficiently NZ, and I adore how you have created your home into such a perfect little haven. I wish you both the very best, you are a complete inspiration!
