Isn't he beautiful? It's a cricket isn't it?
It's getting a bit chilly for him to be out and about though, so I put him on the deck, sitting on a comfy cushion on a Cape Cod chair. I think he likes it.
We're off to Sydney tomorrow - Lloyd has to go to a conference and as I've never been there before I got to tag along for the ride. I am so excited! I can't wait to see the Opera House in real life. I've seen photographs of it for years and always thought it was so beautiful.
Now, should I take my fancy smanchy camera or not? I'm only allowed hand baggage, and it's big...suppose I only need one pair of shoes though...
What a lovely bright green!
ReplyDeleteYes it's a NZ Bush Cricket or Katydid. Funny little things aren't they! :-)
ReplyDeleteit's a katydid oh and very rare to see i think... a nice omen for a great trip don't pack shoes great shopping in Sydney ! xxxx see you next Saturday oh yeah....!

hhaha! so he is - I didn't notice.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, who needs shoes!
Your gray print is very artistic, but I have real problems reading it. Since you have a lot to say, this would be very nice.
ReplyDeleteHe IS cross-eyed! Too funny. What a lovely bug! Happy travels to you!
ReplyDeleteLove your little visitor. Yes, please take the camera and then post lots of pics for us.
ReplyDeleteObviously he likes it, you can tell by the expression on his face!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
He is so cute! Great shots! Hope you're having a lovely day in Sydney today!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! We have lots of those little green guys in Australia - we just call them grasshoppers. Enjoy your time in Sydney! I would definitely bring the camera.
