Herbie update

Wee Herbie is doing so well!
We were due for a good long spell of wet weather so on Christine's advice we bought him a wee coat. It's not necessarily the rain or the wind on their own that can make them sick - it's the mix of both.  So the wee coat will keep him warm.

He seems very proud of it!

We also weighed him again. When he was born he weighed 6kg. He weighed 9.2kg about 4 or 5 days later so he's obviously getting enough to drink.

The sun came out yesterday so we took his coat off so he could enjoy it. We could have weighed him again, but we forgot to take the scales!

We're going to order the next size up of coat as well as he'll soon be too big for this one and from the looks of Cocoa ( she seems to have got a lot wider all of a sudden!) she could have her wee one any day!

We're enjoying the lovely weather we're having for Easter. Yesterday I mowed all the grass and pruned a lot of low branches off some of the big trees.  I realised they'd got too low when I was crashing into them while mowing and cutting my arms and knocking off the headphones!! I can't believe the difference it's made. That and the fact that pruning three large trees filled three trailers full of pruned branches. Lloyd and I put them on the ever expanding bonfire we have in one of the paddocks. We really must get round to lighting it!
