We had some shopping to do in the morning, which was a necessity, and you wouldn't think it would be amazing fun, but it was! We had to go to Bunnings to order 2 gates for Operation Picket Fence and the guy who served us was just the friendliest, happiest guy ever! He even shared his chocolate with us. He made buying a couple of gates an absolute joy. Then it was up to Briscoes, who have just opened a new shop in Kerikeri, and I have to say they have hired the nicest, smiliest young folk ever. So the necessary shopping was lovely.
Then it was off to friends for some tea and cake. And pretty much vegged there all afternoon in their suntrap back garden.
Home again, quick 'get ready' and it was off to a birthday dinner. Lloyd wanted to try a brand new restaurant that has just opened in Kerikeri - Ziezo. It was brilliant, and I'm pretty sure this will become one of our regualr places to go. I loved the food and I really love the simple, mostly white, decor. They have done a fab job.
They even allowed me to bring the cupcakes I made. Which was very kind of them. ( I did ask first!)
So all in all I think Lloyd was feeling very loved yesterday.
