Quick Bob update!

He seems an awful lot better - if not almost completely better.
His temperature has been steady for a good few days now. Its at the upper end of the normal scale, but not having a 'normal' well temperature for him he may well always have been up there. He's always been a dog who looks a wee bit hot!

He's pretty much back on his food again, he's perky and playing with the others and doing his usual roaming around when we go for a walk, rather than sticking right to my side looking sad.

I think we have to put it down to some sort of virus that has finally made its way out of his system.

When we went down to Auckland for his ultrasound they did find a wee nodule on his spleen. They told us that it would actually be uncommon not to find one on a dog his age ( all the vets kept saying stuff like 'not uncommon in an older dog' - it's really brought it home to us that yes, he is an older dog. He's almost 11. I HATE this)

It was recommended that he gets another ultrasound in a month to see if its grown. If its sinister it will grow very fast. So we'll be getting that done.

But! apart from that he seems good.

thank you all for your kind thoughts. They do help. Truly.

here he is saying "thank you"

  4. What a sweet face. So glad to hear he is on the mend. I hope the next ultrasound reveals no new developments and he can continue to enjoy his "old age."

  7. Darling Bob, he is quite an elderly gentleman. Just enjoy him Laura, my old Labradoodle made it to 13 and I loved him so much. They turn us into daft soppy things!
