Auckland

well mum is here, all safe and sound. We had a lovely time in Auckland.  Hotel was great, as usual. We stayed in the Quadrant for the umpteenth time.
We were on the top in the corner which meant we had views right round, could see water on one side and the sky tower on the other.

The plane was delayed in Sydney for a few hours which gave Lloyd and I a little extra time, so we went for yum cha down at the Viaduct. We do this pretty much every time we're in Auckland as we love it!
We even had time for a little walk around.
Headed to the airport. Met mum, who looked fresh as anything  (travelling first class with Emirates will do that!) Had about half an hour rest then went out for dinner at Peter Gordon's Dine - which exceeded expectations. Peter Gordon was actually there having dinner! It was lovely.
Then back to the hotel for an early ish night.
We didn't wake up until almost 9am. L and I are usually up about 6.30am - what a difference not having any dogs makes!!

Went out for brunch to Zarbo. I had time to nip into Centrepoint and buy some lovely fabric. A bit of shopping at Albany then home for 5 to pick up the dogs and get mum settled. Lovely to be home and have mum here.

( Zarbo is an amazing deli and guess what they have...macaroons...as they are supposed to be!)

I love those wonderful french cookies!!!! They are quite pricey here in Oklahoma, when one can find them. Great time you had in Aukland. Enjoy your visit with your mum.
