Messing around not making good use of time!

I should be washing and ironing the things I need to pack for my trip to Scotland. There's also some herbs to plant out and some flowers to go in!

But I'm getting so excited I can't focus on the things I NEED to do! I am an aunt again! Joff and Hilary had a wee girl, Lily Jane, and I can't wait to see them all and mum's 70th birthday dinner is all arranged, so I'm set to have a lovely time ( wish Lloyd was coming, though)
Anyway, instead of getting organised ( I do have a list)  I've been downloading free photography apps for my iPhone! Stunningly good use of time, I think not.
This one is of the Bay yesterday when we were out fishing. The app is all in Japanese - looks stunning - but I have no idea what anything means!

My foot and the washing basket, full of clean washing waiting for me to iron it! This is so much more fun, though.

Wee Brodie, with a tilt shift thingy, but I got the focus slightly off.

And this one which I really love for some reason.

Anyway, best get on!
I'll be around whenever I can, on and off for the next three weeks.
Have fun everyone.

♪ ♫ ♩ ♬ Oh Christmas tree ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬

I put up the tree and some decorations today. It felt completely un-christmassy as it was so unbelievably humid! But I love all the decorations. Most of my decorations are old glass ones I bought eons ago on a trip to London. I think I was about 20 or something! I've also got lots of white feathers. This year I did go to town and get some silver tinsel though. It'll look more festive when I wrap Lloyd's presents and put them under the tree.

I do love putting up the tree, whatever the temperature!

Auckland

well mum is here, all safe and sound. We had a lovely time in Auckland.  Hotel was great, as usual. We stayed in the Quadrant for the umpteenth time.
We were on the top in the corner which meant we had views right round, could see water on one side and the sky tower on the other.

The plane was delayed in Sydney for a few hours which gave Lloyd and I a little extra time, so we went for yum cha down at the Viaduct. We do this pretty much every time we're in Auckland as we love it!
We even had time for a little walk around.
Headed to the airport. Met mum, who looked fresh as anything  (travelling first class with Emirates will do that!) Had about half an hour rest then went out for dinner at Peter Gordon's Dine - which exceeded expectations. Peter Gordon was actually there having dinner! It was lovely.
Then back to the hotel for an early ish night.
We didn't wake up until almost 9am. L and I are usually up about 6.30am - what a difference not having any dogs makes!!

Went out for brunch to Zarbo. I had time to nip into Centrepoint and buy some lovely fabric. A bit of shopping at Albany then home for 5 to pick up the dogs and get mum settled. Lovely to be home and have mum here.

( Zarbo is an amazing deli and guess what they have...macaroons...as they are supposed to be!)

Ok, I got an iPhone.

And I love it.
I never used a mobile phone before ~ well, I had one, but it was in a drawer, but his thing does everything, I'm sure it can probably make the coffee in the morning, I just need to find the App. for it!

It also takes ace pics - well I think they are.
Here's the doggles

Lulah actually sat still for a nanosecond and wee Brodie looks terribly sad here, but he's not! Honest. Bob has assumed his position on the sofa as usual and refuses to move.

I also took these

I love the old fashioned feel to them.  I took one of the house as well but it looks just a little too old fashioned!!

It's another lovely day, a little breezy but sunny and warm.
Hopefully it'll be nice tomorrow as well because we're off out on RandV's boat for a spot of diving and water stuff.
And I know I keep going on about it, but mum gets here soon!!!
Counting down the days...
