Ducks resting

It's much cooler today and in fact it rained yesterday which was lovely, actually.
The ducks are making the most of the cooler weather and have ventured out of the river and are lazing around under the palm tree.
Got to love those ducks!

Still no sign of Fred doing anything. I did, however, spot a monarch butterfly laying eggs on my new small swan plants on the deck - yippee!
Must plant them (carefully) in a large planter later this afternoon.

  3. Beautiful picture Lori. I just love when my ducks rest and nap together. I hope Fred is ok-I know you have certainly given them your support. Can’t wait to see all the butterflies.

  5. I'll be there, Amy!

Mrs Bok - that's the spa!

Hazel, I have and so far as I can tell they should only be in the chrysalis for about 14 days ish. But it's the colour that's bothering me. He shouldn't be black - well not for so long, anyway. :(

    Mel, they are!

  6. I'm sorry to say, but I have a feeling Fred is not doing very well. We found that when the chrysalis goes completely black it is due to happen really soon.

  9. Lea and Ali, I fear you may be right. :(
For now he is on the outside table on the deck, but it just makes me sad seeing him there.

    Thank you Tami xx
