Guacamole - well half made guacamole! These avocados are from my egg trade. All summer we've been trading eggs for avocados with one of our lovely neighbours.
If I have any left over ones I half make guacamole, bag it and freeze it. When we want it I defrost and add some coriander, salt and lemon juice ( we like our guacamole simple in this house). Means we can have it all year round and not just when avocados are in season.
More passion fruit! This is the second and pretty much final lot of passion fruit from our tiny vine - if it produced this much this year then next year, when it's bigger, is going to be phenomenal! They do grow super fast up here.
Again, these are for the freezer. Just cut in half, scoop out the pulp and bag. Passionfruit Pavlova all year - bliss.
mmmmmm, yum yum

ReplyDeleteMy kids adore passionfruit and our little vine has just started dropping fruit. It never gets past the kids to the fruit bowl though! Sorry to hear about the wee butterfly with holey wings - I wonder how that happened? And yes, I'll take roosters back.
