It's funny, I left new Zealand in the midst of autumn, the trees were beginning to lose their leaves and it was getting ever so slightly cooler. I've arrived in Scotland to spring, and a lovely spring it is too! Much colder then I'm now used to and I've got to admit to finding it a bit chilly (I've got socks on, for goodness sake!) - become a total sub-tropical softy, I reckon!

The daffodils and tulips are out in force, these were in mum and dad's garden, but Aberdeen wins prizes for the amazing flowers everywhere and there are some really stunning displays around the place so I must get my camera out and take some pics.

I'm having a brilliant time so far - the flights were all excellent and flying straight into Aberdeen was an absolute luxuary. It's lovely to see mum and dad. I had an excellent sleep last night then went for a swim this morning. They make their pools MUCH hotter here than the one I'm used to at home!

Anyway, just thought I'd check in.
I'm doing this on my iPad, it was a bit of a palaver getting a photo uploaded and I have no idea how to change the design, so I hope this works ok!

Welcome Back to Scotland, notice I don't say home as my daughter has tried to tell me that 'home' is where you stay with the family and she feels that is NZ now. Anyway, enjoy your stay and if you should comeover to the west coast contact me.
