Anyone for plum jam?
Remember THE PLUMS? Well they were finally ready so Lloyd spent the day making jam, lots of it...
It tastes really lovely.
While Lloyd was busy doing this I was feeling sorry for myself and moping around because
mum went home yesterday and it definitely came too soon. I have been really sad since she left.
i have been following your blog and love it...sorry your mum left..

Have a cup of tea and get Lloyd to make you some scones to go with that jam. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThose 2 weeks must have flown past for you all. You will be sad for a while, but you'll soon be planning another trip either to or from - I'm sure! Treasure the memories.
ReplyDeleteLovely looking jam - how wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt's always hard saying bye to your Mummy when they live so far away eh, I know the feeling. Looks as though you had a great time while she was over.
that jam looks fab, making my mouth water just at the thought of it, dont be in the doldrums focus on the next visit!
ReplyDeleteKnow how you feel - it helps if you know when the next visit in either direction will be. One benefit of time seeming to speed up as you get older is that even a 12 month gap soon passes. last saw mine in July 2009, scheduled another visit in July 2010 and amazingly it's February already lol. Only seems like a couple of months since I went.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes

The jam looks great. Sorry that you are sad. Eat some chocolate - that always makes me feel better.
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks really delicious! I just found your blog in the last week and am really intrigued. It looks beautiful where you are, and the jam looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteGot any of those plums left? Did you stew any and freeze them, cos Ive got a great recipe for old fashioned plum sponge, stewed fruit on the bottom, and a layer of fluffy cake on the top!!!
ReplyDeleteEasy peasy........Suzanne
