Finally...

some sunny weather. It's a gorgeous winter day. 18 degrees ( that's the warm 18!) blue skies, the sort of winters days I love. So do the dogs.

We've just been playing around in the garden with them, chasing and catching balls. Their favourite thing to do, ever.

Still no bathroom...
the good news is the tiling is finished, just the grouting to do and it looks spectacular.
The bad news - we don't even have a toilet, it's empty of all the usual bathroom fittings *sob sob* Fingers crossed not long now. We've been managing pretty well all these weeks and making the best of it, but we're nearing the end of our 'make do' attitude. We just want it finished. Lloyd reckons that by the end of this week it'll be done!
So, how many tradesmen does it take to make a bathroom?
Seven - yes, seven!
Plumber, builder, waterproofer, tiler, electrician, glass man and painter ( painters are Lloyd and I so make that eight!)
Who knew.

The dogs look like they are having a great time. Hopefully, the bathroom will be done soon.

  3. Thanks Mel, me too!

and your poor hubby - he should have been here on Friday, he could have compared notes with our tiler - what with the squint walls I could hear a lot of frustration!!

  4. Hi Laura, I think we are having the same weather here over the ditch. The doggies sure look like they are enjoying it.

  5. The moral to the story is NEVER renovate an old cottage. Been there done that. Now I'm crazy enough to tackle the garden. Do we never learn? Fingers crossed the toilet is ready really soon - and in winter you poor things.
